Tour De La Côte De Granit Rose 19 & 20 April.
Last weekend CCC riders Jack Rebours and Tom Huelin raced in France for CC Plancoet in a team event. It was a three stage race:
Saturday 120km Road Race
Sunday 9.9km Team Time Trial
Sunday 106Km Road Race
On the first stage Tom Huelin had a strong race.The bunch mainly stayed together until the last 30km of a 120km race and it then all split. Tom dug deep and finished just 14 seconds behind the winner.
The second day was a team time trial and Jack bounced back strongly after a slightly disappointing first stage. Jack and Tom were the strong riders in the TTT on the flat with Jack doing the longer pulls and Erwan Le Falher of CC Plancoet doing the hard pulls on the climb. It all resulted in an excellent time for the team and 11th place.
The third stage was again raced at a fast pace and a quality break was formed early on which stayed away until the end. Tom finished near the front of the bunch sprint with Jack also in the bunch.
It was a good weekend of racing in a quality field and both Tom and Jack came away satisfied with their performance.
